First i would like to apologize for the delay with little to no news. The holidays are a crazy time for me and life got a bit out of hand leaving me little time to finish the typeset, and to be honest when i finally did have time Katawa Shoujo came out and killed that plan... I will be finishing the typeset tomorrow while on a flight to spend a week with Oro in Colorado and plan to release later Saturday night.

Again I want to apologize for the delay and hope everyone enjoys the chapter when it is released.

Oro happened, that's what!

Following some consistent feedback from our IRC users (#Tktranslator) and others, our blog has been somewhat overdue for a make-over. In addition to that, Blogger just rolled out their new Dynamic Views theme, which allows you, the reader, to pick and choose your favorite layout. We've set Magazine as the default, because it offers a nice blend of accessibility and pops our latest release to the top in clear view.

Currently there isn't much I can change or edit on the theme, that I've seen, but I'm working on yacking with the folks at the Google Help-Desk to see what can be changed, editted and customized.

In the meantime, feel free to poke around the new setup, and leave some comments below and let me know what you think of this layout.

Amagami Precious Diary Update

Hey guys,

LHI and I have been searching the net for the latest Amagami Precious Diary raw. However, no chapters are to be found anywhere. Today, I received the hard copy of the Young Animal installment that the latest Amagami chapter should have been in (I get it 4 weeks late). I looked through it and it was no where to be found.

At first, I thought that no one was scanning it anymore. The fact is, the latest chapter hasn't even been printed yet. I was lurking on 2chan and read that even the Japanese fans are like "Where is the next chapter?" "When's it going to start again?"

So, at this point, all we can do is wait and hope. Just thought I'd give you guys an update. If any of you do see the next chapter - Kaoru chapter 12 - please let us know by posting on the blog. We'll be sure to give you Kudos when we do our release.

I want to relay some unfortunate news to you. Yesterday, I picked up the 2nd volume of Amagami Precious Diary - Ayatsuji and found there was no extra chapter. After looking at the advertisement for the second volume again, I realized that there was another way it could be read.

Basically, the advertisement was saying that the next volume of Amagami Precious Diary would have the final half of the Ayatsuji Arc in it, not an epilogue. It was an honest mistake on my part. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

In any case, we will continue to bring more Amagami Precious Diary - Kaoru chapters as they come out. I hope you all can look forward to that and some specials waiting in the wings.

In case you somehow missed all this JDCA nonsense about enforcing non-existent licenses in the United States and completely abolishing scanlators, I thought I would take a moment to point out that Onemanga has been successfully bullied out of existence.

Bow your heads, moment of silence, etc.

And now I would like to rant about why Scanlators exist. Quality. No seriously. Quality. We exist to translate, check, and recheck, and 9:1 offer a better product than 99% of the companies importing this shit into the American market and totally trashing it ("I mean who would want to see our favorite Horo on the cover of wolf and spice???? Pfff, why, none of OUR american readers").

We are facing a unique predicament of being told what we want by the American proponents of the JDCA and frankly I don't think we should fucking take it. Anyone have a good idea about how to send the JDCA in the US a great big "Fuck you?"

Howdy folks, it's pretty rare I post on here, but as soon as I get my main system back up and operational, I will start work on giving the TKT Blog a face lift, which should be a little easier on the eyes. We're also currently discussing some changes to how TKT will be delivering our scanlations in the near future, so keep your eyeballs peeled.

Also I wanted to let you folks know that we will be doing a soft-handoff of one of our translation projects, "Otogi no Machi no Rena". While I enjoyed translating this comic greatly, it has proven somewhat difficult to find competent and willing staff to help translate and edit it properly, resulting in its abandon time and time again.

As such, when Z from KHS approached me yesterday about taking up the project, I felt no reason to object. As long as KHS scanlations can deliver a quality product, I am actually excited to see that this comic going back into scanlation, and have agreed to cooperate in any way I can.

Aside that, stay tuned, as there is a lot more to come....Oh, and despite the JDCA initiative, we will continue our projects unfettered as 'fan attributions' until further notice. Enjoy :)

Status Updates

Happy New Year to all to start off our first blog post of 2010! Just a few quick updates to start off the new year. As of right now we do not have a raw for MGX 41 at the latest Yuzu will scan his copy around the 20th when he receives it. Keep an eye here for updates I'll let you all know when we have a raw.

Yuzu is currently working on Amagami chapter 2 and is hoping to release it later today so look forward to that.

on a side note, has anyone ever had trouble opening my zip archives that the chapters are released in? i've heard a few complaints but those were solved by stupidity. tonight during the qc anon-fail and yuzu both had trouble opening the zip file were cherrybomb, mw, and oro did not... any ideas?

MGX 36.5 update

I just finished typesetting the chapter not 10 minutes ago and sent it out for QC. i finally decided how to solve my photoshop issue by installing OSX 10.5 on a separate partition that i can boot to just to use photoshop... bit excessive but it works and allows me to get the chapters done.

depending on how long the QC takes expect a release tonight or tomorrow.

today this page was brought to my attention by LHI in the IRC chat room... wtf? using our freely released chapters to make a profit for yourself? I'm now trying to contact the site to have them remove the listing.

to address some of the comments:
As far as we know we are the only group releasing chapters 21+ claiming up to chapter 31 either means that he/she translated them him/herself or they are using our scans. From the preview images they seem to be the scans that are released freely and even if chapters 21+ are not ours I still don't want to see someone making a profit off of others hard work.

The listing is still there, you have to scroll down to see it the site has very crappy formatting.

In the listing he/she uses the fan colored page found here

It is still illegal to sell these chapters with out the authors consent, i know we release for free and don't have consent but we're not making money off it!

Its been a while

Just thought i would drop by and tell you all we're not dead. Its almost time for a new MGX chapter with afternoon being published on the 25th tho i doubt we will have a raw that day... but we can hope!

On a personal note i will not be returning to school until January so will have a bit more time to work on MGX and Yume Tsukai. Even tho i am working full time (40 hours a week) i will still try and acomplish the goals i set for myself and TkT:

1. get at least 1 chapter of Yume Tsukai out before i go back to school... I've been working on it long enough.
2. get a real site, a blog is fine too but i would prefer a site where we could host our own files and be free to change the site to work for us.
3. find out if Orochi is coming back to Rena i kind of doubt it but its up to him.

I'll be back in a few days with MGX news.

MGX Hiatus

As we all know there will be no new chapter of Mysterious Girlfriend X this month as the author is on hiatus. In this time of nothing to do i am working slowly on my own project Yume Tsukai (slowly as i've been working on it for 2 months and have 5 pages translated...) Orochi is still on his own hiatus from Otogi no Machi no Rena and not sure if he will be coming back to the project or not.

As of now i am not sure if i will be returning to school this semester for lack of housing (still 16 on the waiting list and my tuition must be paid by august 3rd) so i will have a bit more time then last year to work on TKT and other projects. I do hope to return to school but at this point it looks unlikely...

As all of you notice we don't have one yet... the guy that normally scans it each month did not this time. It looks like we're going to have to wait for yuzu to get his copy which hopefully will be next week at the latest.

for those of you worried about there not being a chapter, MGX seems to be neglected by the people who do full volume scans of Afternoon and is always the last series scanned.

Otogi no Machi no Rena on hold

After we added Nys to the team as our cleaner for Rena Orochi has taken some time off from TkT to deal with life and get things in order, we hope he returns well rested soon and can continue translating Rena. We will continue to work on Rena in his absence prepping for scripts when we do get them.

But for now after the release of chapter 24 Rena will be on hold as far as releases go. expect chapter 24 some time next week.
